Logistics & fulfillment consulting

Understand the full implications of a transportation or fulfillment decision before committing to a change.

Discuss this work

A renewal, a provider change, or a different distribution model

A proposed carrier, fulfillment provider, or distribution arrangement may look attractive commercially while leaving operating questions unresolved. Service expectations, handoffs, internal workload, and transition requirements all affect whether the option is practical.

Newfound Insight reviews the economics alongside the operation so the decision can be assessed on both.

What the engagement can deliver

  • A review of current costs and requirements. A defined assessment of the transportation or fulfillment activity in scope.
  • A comparison of feasible alternatives. Commercial differences, service implications, material assumptions, and questions to resolve before a commitment.
  • Support moving an option forward. Provider discussions, commercial negotiations, coordination with your team, and transition planning where included in the engagement.

The deliverables depend on the decision. A carrier proposal review does not require the same work as a fulfillment transition.

What information is useful?

Recent invoices, shipment or order history, current agreements, and provider proposals help define the comparison. Service commitments, delivery requirements, and internal capacity establish the operating constraints.

The required information is agreed around the decision. A major carrier renewal and a fulfillment transition need different reviews.

Operating fit belongs in the discussion

The preferred option needs to fit the way your orders move and the commitments made to your customers. If a proposed arrangement depends on operating changes, the review should identify them before they become implementation surprises.

Keep the change manageable

The engagement starts with the decision you need to make and the available information. Once the options are reviewed, you choose what to pursue. Implementation can then be scoped around the responsibilities, dependencies, and milestones of that specific change. Agree on the financial and service measures to review after the transition; a proposed saving is not yet a verified result.

Start a conversation

Considering a logistics change?

Describe the current arrangement, what is prompting the review, and the service requirements that matter most. Detailed operating data can follow once the scope is agreed.

The initial conversation clarifies the decision and what a useful review would cover. If the work is a fit, deliverables, timing, and fees are agreed before starting.
